Yep, pizza dough makes fine rolls. Sure they aren't super light and fluffy, but they are still wicked good. All you do is roll it into balls, put it in a lightly oiled pan and let them rise for a while.
Maybe... an hour. It's not rocket science.
Heat the oven to 425, brush them with some olive oil (infused is best, I suggest rosemary) and then bake them for about 10-15 minutes. Now you could just eat them out of hand, I've done that plenty of times. But this time I made sliders out of them. Turkey sloppy joe sliders, to be precise. No recipe for that I'm afraid, since it was tossed together with a small amount of leftover ground turkey. Although I did use my standby sloppy joe as a base, it's a great recipe. Good times, kids. Good times.

Pizza dough is so good!
I'm hosting giveaway from CSN on my site that you should check out. ;)
Yum-o! My kids will love this idea.
Sliders are a big deal in my family!
Cheers~
YUM! I bet the sliders were great on those rolls. I'll have to try it.
Awesome, I love that you used the rolls to make sliders! Talk about tasty
Very yeasty and tasty! Never thought to use pizza dough for rolls, though it does do a bang up job as make-shift foccacia.
Great idea....sometimes I make breadsticks from the pizza dough...not nearly as creative as your roll sliders, but tasty all the same
Huh. I had no idea. Thanks for the tip!
Awesome, pizza dough simply rocks!
Great idea, love how you made the buns into sliders...so drooling over the last couple of photos..:)
I remember doing something similar once. I was cooking dinner and I didn't realize that there wasn't any bread in the house. But I did have some of that pillsbury pizza dough, so I turned those into little garlic dinner rolls. :)
So cute being rolled up like this.
My friend's mom makes these things called "Crazy Mixed-Up Pizzas" where she puts pizza toppings into a dinner roll and encapsulates it as a filling, then bakes them. They are awesome. I should see if I can get the actual recipe for you! :)
a wonderful idea! those are good looking rolls! =)
I bet this is good...like big, fat breadsticks...er, uh...balls!! Gimme some garlic butter & marinara and let me be...w/ a big pan of these ;)
These look just like bertucci rolls - which I miss dearly! Do they taste like them??
Fabulous idea! I love it. My favorite part of the pizza is the crust. My family gives me their crusts...;-)

Absolutely fabulous idea, especially with the sloppy joe mix.
I wonder how these rolls would be with a few slices of pepperoni, a thick slice of mozzarella and a slather of marinara...pizza sliders!
mm what a good idea!
yummy! what a delicious recipe! I want to take it tasty! :)
Worked for me!!!. Bushed with melted butter at beginning, middle and end. Baked to a beautiful golden brown color. Rolls are great with BBQ country spare ribs.
