Something Else to Do With Pizza Dough: Rolls

Yep, pizza dough makes fine rolls. Sure they aren't super light and fluffy, but they are still wicked good. All you do is roll it into balls, put it in a lightly oiled pan and let them rise for a while.

Maybe... an hour. It's not rocket science.

Heat the oven to 425, brush them with some olive oil (infused is best, I suggest rosemary) and then bake them for about 10-15 minutes. Now you could just eat them out of hand, I've done that plenty of times. But this time I made sliders out of them. Turkey sloppy joe sliders, to be precise. No recipe for that I'm afraid, since it was tossed together with a small amount of leftover ground turkey. Although I did use my standby sloppy joe as a base, it's a great recipe. Good times, kids. Good times.

Very yeasty and tasty! Never thought to use pizza dough for rolls, though it does do a bang up job as make-shift foccacia.

Great idea....sometimes I make breadsticks from the pizza dough...not nearly as creative as your roll sliders, but tasty all the same

I remember doing something similar once. I was cooking dinner and I didn't realize that there wasn't any bread in the house. But I did have some of that pillsbury pizza dough, so I turned those into little garlic dinner rolls. :)

So cute being rolled up like this.

My friend's mom makes these things called "Crazy Mixed-Up Pizzas" where she puts pizza toppings into a dinner roll and encapsulates it as a filling, then bakes them. They are awesome. I should see if I can get the actual recipe for you! :)

Fabulous idea! I love it. My favorite part of the pizza is the crust. My family gives me their crusts...;-)

Absolutely fabulous idea, especially with the sloppy joe mix.

I wonder how these rolls would be with a few slices of pepperoni, a thick slice of mozzarella and a slather of marinara...pizza sliders!

Worked for me!!!. Bushed with melted butter at beginning, middle and end. Baked to a beautiful golden brown color. Rolls are great with BBQ country spare ribs.
