So here is the reason I haven't been posting so much lately:
This is pretty much what I've been eating. Sometimes the meat is chicken instead of ground beef, sometimes there's vegetables. Sometimes there's no meat and it's not pilaf, it's jasmine rice or something. There's usually cheese.
But some variation of this is what I've been cooking these days. Not very inspiring. But then this weekend I made this:
Pot roast. I like pot roast. I'm actually chilling it overnight, so as of this post I'm not sure how it turned out. I'm not terribly concerned though. If it works out how I want I'll have pot roast, potatoes and gravy all from one pot.
Just in case anyone is wondering what the Real Bob has been up to, this is pretty much it.
But if I bought him a cat bed he wouldn't use it.

Sunday Critters #2
Right, I know. I've been neglectful. But let's not dwell on the past, shall we? I know I'm sorry, you know I'm sorry. Bygones should really be bygones. But, I will offer up the following pictures as evidence of my sincerity.
I've posted once before about my friends pups, but I house sat for them a couple weeks ago and got some good pics. Like this one of Zelda sitting on my outstretched legs.
Although, to be fair, if it comes out clear pretty much every picture of her is good. And Suki, of course.
He's another one that doesn't really take bad pics and I like the lighting. I was particularly pleased with this one of Obe (cat) loving on Angel (dog).
Angel is terrified of cameras and Obe doesn't often make with the affection. So there you go, dogs and cats. Living together in harmony. I also got some pics of the food I made in their enormous kitchen, I'll post about that this week. Probably. Heh.

Sunday Cats #105
Here are a couple more of my brother's cats. This is Lola, she gets what she wants.
She is also completely insane. This is Shadow, he is an enormous love, although not graceful at all.
When we play cards he likes to lay in the middle of the table and have us put cards on him.
He's a bit odd.

Sunday Cats #104
Ree!
I'm sure you all remember her, she's the cat with no eyes. She is also one of the largest cats I've ever known, one of the sweetest too.
She startles easily, but then tends to just roll onto her back to insist on lovins.
Since her face is all black with no eyes it's hard to get a good picture. But I figured since I was posting about food my brother made recently I should also post about his cats.

Sunday Cats #103
Found another pic of the Real Bob and Lucy.
Plus I can't help but love Lucy's monkey onesie. I mean, cmon. And here is the Real Bob sleeping.

Sunday Cats #101
Since I didn't post anything last week here is a sneak peek at the next thing that's going up.
Yeah, that's shrimp, apparently I like seafood now. Know who else would have liked it? Romeo.
Here he is gazing lovingly at me while I cook. He always gazed lovingly, it was pretty much his only expression.

Sunday Cats #100
100? Really? Well, I guess this calls for extra cattiness. Wait... that's not right... uhm. Haven't had my coffee yet, going to just let it be. So. For my 100th cat post I'm going to post some of my favorite cats ever. You've already met the real Bob, probably my all time favorite.
Although the cat I had as a kid, Buttercup, and the one I had as a teenager, Annie, are right up there too. Buttercup would wake me up every morning by wrapping her front paws around my neck and licking my ears. Annie was just a big lump of love. Anyway, I posted about Romeo before, but no favorite cats post would be complete without him.
He was the one of the sweetest, most gentle creatures I've ever known. Plus since he was wearing a tuxedo he was always ready for a ball. I'm pretty sure I've posted about Tiresias (aka Ree) before, but I'm not going through 100 posts to find out.
She is eyeless, as her name implies, but that doesn't stop her from doing whatever she wants. Which is mostly purring wicked loud and laying in the hallway at my brothers house. Heh. Last, but certainly not least, is Puffin.
She was not only beautiful, but smart and sassy too. She had a shoelace that was hers and when she wanted to play she would trot over to you with it in her mouth. When she was done she'd pick it back up and hide it.
She was something else. So there you have it, a woefully incomplete list of some of the best cats ever. Now, coffee.

Sunday Cats #99
The real Bob has decided he's a lap cat now.
I'm not sure what brought it on, but I'm not complaining.
Well, except that he also wants to be in my lap while I'm eating, which is inconvenient. It's almost as though he doesn't think things through. Heh.

Sunday Cats #98
Yeah, I've got nothing. But here is the real Bob sleeping peacefully.
Until I jab him with something. Heh.

Sunday Cats #95 Plus a Baby!
Two of my sisters are visiting and one of them brought my eight week old niece. It's nice. The real Bob is a bit confused by the baby.
(stupid blurry photo) She smells like milk and looks like a person. But she's about his size (he's a little bigger actually) and makes some strange noises.
But they seem to have come to an understanding. She ignores him and he just does his thing.
Although he does get a little jealous when I hold her. Heh. I've taken lots of pictures of them, so the next few Sundays are going to be a Bob and Lucy smorgasbord. I might even get around to posting food again, who knows?

Sunday Cats #93
Uhm, excuse me? I was reading that.
I only put it down for a minute.
Would you mind...
My cat is a jerk.

Sunday Cats #92
So, who out there thinks that it's a coincidence that my favorite spot on the couch is also the real Bob's favorite spot?
You'd think that since I'm living alone, well, without other humans, I'd get my pick of where I sit.
You'd think that. Yeah, enjoy it.

Sunday Cats #90
What is it with cats and nylon/plastic?
He loves that bag.
Good thing I don't use it much lately, I wouldn't want to have to fight him for it.
Heh, doesn't he look wicked vicious?
