Sloppy Joe Pizza

It's exactly what you think it is. I had some sloppy joe meat leftover one day and decided to make a pizza out of it. Good times, kids. The cheese is a mix of mozzarella and cheddar and I tossed some onion on there because I had some. Was it wicked good? Why yes it was, thanks for asking.

Heh, my girlfriend has referred to my pizza making style as "anything goes" which I think think is a perfectly good description. I'll put pretty much anything on some dough and top it with cheese. How about you guys, whats the weirdest thing you've put or had on pizza?

  1. Hey Bob, my favourite pizza of all time is bolognese. *nom*

  2. That sounds awesome! I'm trying it.

    Weirdest pizzas--but amazing!
**baked potato (w/ ranch type sauce instead of pizza sauce)
**chicken alfredo (w/ alfredo and garlic sauce instead of pizza sauce)

We have a local place that has a pizza bake off every year. The cooks from each of their three locations invent a pizza, and people go and taste all of them, vote, and it's added to the menu. I love that place.

  3. Yum, this actually sounds really good. And yeah, throw anything on a good crust and top it with cheese- I'm in! Weirdest thing, hmm...mac & cheese. Carbs w/ cheese on carbs w/ cheese, mmmmm.

  5. I recently made a pizza using leftover meatloaf and baked potato. Your post reminds me I haven't made Sloppy Joes for my hubby, which he loves, in a long time.

  14. Cheetos; the crunchy ones. It was when I was in highschool, so I don't remember anymore what else went on that "pizza", but we all ate it!

  21. Hummus instead of sauce and then layered it with sliced potatoes, sauerkraut, sausage, and gouda cheese. Also made guacamole pizza once too with black beans.

  25. I love cheddar on my pizza, which my husband thinks is pretty different. Also, sauerkraut is amazing on a sausage pizza! This sloppy joe pizza is a great idea- thanks for sharing!
