Here is that other video of Bob and Noodles playing on the cat house thing.
It was pretty much inevitable that Noodles would assert her dominance and take it over. Bob only gets it when she's asleep somewhere else or in the other room. And if she notices him on it she runs over, smacks him around and takes it back. He's kind of a wimp like that.
sounds exactly like our cat Jack - he hates for other cats to sit on "his tower".
ReplyDeleteI like Noodles :D My kind of cat hehe
ReplyDeleteAwww poor Bob! He needs to assert himself more! It's a good thing this isn't a playground. He'd so be the kid getting wedgies :(
ReplyDeleteIt's the UFC - Ultimate Fighter Cats
ReplyDeleteJust too cute
ReplyDeletePoor Bob....but I like Noodles' style.
ReplyDeleteFemale=boss of the house. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a cat question. I am adopting a 3 month old kitten tomorrow from the SPCA and was wondering(since you are the car pro) if you had any advice for a new kitten owner? Should I have it(Archie is what I named him) sleep in the laundry room for a few nights or have him roam free?
ReplyDeleteLeslie: First off high five for adopting through the SPCA, they're the bomb.
ReplyDeleteAs for where you should keep the kitten, it really depends on your situation. If you have another pet then it would be good to keep them separate for a couple days while they get used to each others scent and when you do introduce them do it slowly, in short supervised sessions. If you don't have any more pets then I would just let him have the run of the place.
Do make sure the first thing he sees when he gets out of the carrier is the litter box and then don't move it! Heh.
You should also make sure anything (knick knacks, anything glass or porcelain, curtains with sentimental value, etc) that he might bat at, knock down, swat, claw or chew and that you care about is well out of his reach. Depending on the rambunctiousness that might mean in boxes in a closet. The real Bob stayed off counters and dressers and stuff even when he was a kitten, but I've known cats that would jump six feet straight up to knock decorative bottles off the tops of dressers. Most are, of course, somewhere in between in spazziness. Heh.
Other than that just feed him kitten food, get him fixed and heed any advice the SPCA gives you. Good luck! I expect to see pictures on your blog soon. :)
