Sunday Cats

So, about 20 seconds before this picture was taken the coat was hung up. Noodles knocked it down, crawled under it and very quickly pretended to be asleep. Except she forgot to close her eyes. Not too bright, our Noodles.

The real Bob's new thing is wanting to play on the bean bag. We don't really want that though, since he winds up transferring his play to the bag itself. And it's a really nice bean bag.

Maybe she is not clever like you said (which I actually doubt, you see, she actually got she wanted, that's clever enough), Noodles is just cute!

I came into my study yesterday and was startled to see the blanket on my futon twitch. It turned out that Lola had climbed all the way under it and was sporadically chasing her tail underneath it. Such odd children...

Cats are just as mischievous as small children, it seems. Or 22-year-old klutzes...

This is not really a comment on your cats, but on life in general (heh). I've found that there are exactly two food blogs I follow regularly, yours and Pioneer Woman's. I simply have no patience with nitpicking (fashioning one quarter inch long ladybirds out of almond paste to adorn cupcakes etc.) and your recipes are almost always just the sort of food I like. Great ideas to adapt to our favorite ingredients. Thank you. Just one wish: if you use something everyone knows by its brand name, please take a few words to explain to us non-Americans what it is ... Well, not you so much, but PW is always talking about Lawry's and Miracle Whip etc. Also, "a stick" of butter is about 100 grams, but how big is "a square" of chocolate?

As of cats, our little slim kittygirlie has gradually become rather the same shape as Noodles. We may have to start feeding our two separately to limit her intake, and just bear with the pitiful looks and weak (as in "how can you be so cruel to poor little me") miaows.

Angie: Heh, that she certainly is.

Brutal: She's a bit stranger than most too.

Joanne: We often refer to them as our furry toddlers. Heh.

Katerine: She totally does.

Hungry Dog: You too!

Annukka: Wow, thanks so much. Heh, I don't have much patience with nitpicking myself. I usually try not to use brand names as a general rule, but I will certainly try to be more careful about weights and measures. Never having cooked outside of the US I always forget that not everyone uses the same things. Heh, I really should know better though, I read enough non-US blogs.

And just in case you weren't being rhetorical, a square of baking chocolate is one ounce. :)

Hehe, mine likes to knock my pants down off the top of the closet and play in them. Got to love them though. Hehe.

Thumper has been demanding our attention a lot lately. He meows and walks in circles around the house, so we feed him, scoop his box, open blinds, fluff up blankets to lay on, brush him....and then he'll suddenly jump up and "pounce" us. He wants to PLAY. My 15-year-old kitten! LOL!
